Being slightly nervous, I parked the car closely to the other cars. Seemingly, they had parked closely to the cars that had parked there before them. Making sure that I was parking between the lines, which is hard to do in an empty parking lot, I wondered about who had been the first car in the lot. I guessed that it was probably the car in the middle of the pack, the car that was smack dab in the circle of cars that seemed to be growing about it like a hive. Everyone was probably like me, worried that some junky would smash the window in order to get a penny off of the back seat. I didn’t want it to be a $300 insurance deductible afternoon.
